We have built our own routes to provide maximum capacity in terms of fiber quantity and use of the latest fiber technology. Our own build routes have been designed specifically to minimize latency. We can tailor solutions to meet your needs – whether you are a Hyperscaler, a Telco or an Enterprise – it is a key part of our success to date. Why use Dark Fiber?
Dark Fiber is the fundamental building block for telecoms networks globally. It is used by companies who want to have total control of the traffic and services they are running over it. Typically these companies have data transport requirements well in excess of available wavelength and spectrum services.
What applications does Dark Fiber support?
Companies using dark fiber will be planning to operate their own telecoms infrastructure on top of it – a mixture of optical, ethernet and/or IP infrastructure. They will be wanting to transport multiple Tbit/s of data between key locations – on both subsea and terrestrial routes. They will be happy to build and operate their own network.
Network Coverage and Investment
We have invested extensively in our network over the past 4 years. Dark Fiber is available on the 3 key fiber routes we have constructed: NO-UK from Stavanger to Newcastle; from Stavanger to Oslo and from Oslo to Hamburg. Subject to availability, we are able to procure dark fiber for other routes from 3rd party operators. We are planning to build additional fiber routes within the Nordics and expand existing network to maximise our footprint.

We are able to work with our vendor partners to design solutions to meet a wide variety of needs.
